Forest Whittaker should really win best actor for Last King Of Scotland - don't know if you've seen it, but its just an unbelievable performance, unlike anything else you will see for a long time...

Agree with Helen Mirren for "The Queen". The Departed should pick up quite a few awards as well....Haven't seen enough of the nominees to judge many other categories though - but I think it's unlikely that The Queen will win best picture....

I've seen almost all the movies that have nominations, being the film freak that I am! I think Forest Whittaker's performance was magnificent and powerful, but nothing out of the ordinary. It may be that he is generally an actor capable of such performances that one has come to expect it, maybe I was extra impressed with Dani Archer because it was Di Caprio.

Whittaker would be my second choice for that award.

So Tom, what are your predictions?
