Disney Wisdom

Many years ago when I went to Disney Land, I was most impressed of course by the various rides and fantastic technology that I saw there. However, it was the simplest of rides that I got most addicted to. It had the catchiest tune playing everytime you went in and it was a simple boat ride through the world. The ride was called "It's a small world", and the song "It's a small world afterall" played continusly in the background.

Before I post the lyrics, let me elaborate.

Case #1: Jennifer Harwood, from Australia, came to Egypt of couple of years ago to work for AIESEC. After a year an d a half almost in Egypt, she moved to New York, where she currently resides. Jennifer knows a guy from Canada called Adrian Sia Lu, who currently resides in England. I currently live in Dubai. So Adrian comes to Dubai for work and we get to meet and hang out. One week later, I'm on London, hanging out with Adrian and his friends, who're visiting him in England for one day on their way back to Canada from Turkey. One of his friends is Vinod, who I had met 5 years ago in Lenk, Switzerland.

Case#2: Since I live in Dubai I interact alot with the trainees community here. Recently I got introduced to a couple of trainees who live together, Milica from Serbia and Valentina from Romania. When they got in the car with me, we started chatting and a Romanian song came on so I started singing along. Valentina then wondered how it was that I spoke romanian and I answered back, in Romanian, because I went there on my traineeship two years ago. She said "Really, where?", and I said Cluj Napoca. Apparently, she was in Cluj Napoca two years ago as well living with her sister. She first said that he sister used to have alot to do with AIESEC, but was no longer with AIESEC when I was there. Then she said her sister's name, Dumi. Now in the same breath we both said "Dumitrita"? Daumi and I worked together in Romania on some trainings for an organization called CRST!

And there's plenty more....please feel free to share in the comments any stories you have on such weird and wacky coincidences..

And now, the lyrics:

it's a world of laughter, a world or tears
its a world of hopes, its a world of fear
theres so much that we share
that its time we're aware
its a small world after all

CHORUS:

its a small world after all
its a small world after all
its a small world after all
its a small, small world

There is just one moon and one golden sun
And a smile means friendship to everyone.
Though the mountains divide
And the oceans are wide
It's a small small world

CHORUS:

its a small world after all
its a small world after all
its a small world after all
its a small, small world
